Director, screenwriter, and producer, founder of Vaya Films, with a clear vision toward auteur cinema committed to memory and identity. He has directed the short films Jamás and Leve, both recognized and selected at major festivals such as Havana, Toulouse, and Bogoshorts, which consolidated his early steps in the independent film scene.
He is currently leading his debut feature A Coyote at the End of the Road, a project that has been part of key development and co-production platforms such as Rotterdam Lab, FICCI, and Cine Qua Non Lab 2024, confirming its relevance and narrative strength. In parallel, he is involved in the documentary La Colonia, presented at Conecta (Chile), where he continues to deepen his interest in exploring historical memory and the phenomenon of La Violencia. His work reflects an expanding artistic maturity, with the conviction of contributing through cinema to a critical understanding of the past and to building new perspectives for the present.
Producer and founder of Vaya Films, he has built a solid career in Colombian independent cinema. He has served as coproducer of El otro hijo, Cólera Morbo, and the documentary Orquídea, and as production manager on internationally acclaimed films such as Embrace of the Serpent (Oscar-nominated), A Male (Directors’ Fortnight at Cannes), and Gente de bien (Critics’ Week at Cannes). His experience has taken him across diverse regions of the country, working on narratives that merge artistic rigor with social relevance.
He is currently developing two projects that mark a new stage in his career: the documentary La Colonia, an in-depth investigation into the Villarrica war and the memory of La Violencia, and the fiction feature A Coyote at the End of the Road, his debut feature, which confirms his commitment to a cinema that is engaged, human, and internationally projected.

En 2023 lanzó los largometrajes documentales CUANDO LAS AGUAS SE JUNTAN en salas de cine en 13 países y ANCIENT BUILDERS OF THE AMAZON, ambos disponibles en Amazon Prime. Actualmente está produciendo dos capítulos de la serie SACRED PLANET en Perú y Colombia para la cadena PBS de los Estados Unidos.
Cineasta colombo-estadounidense radicada en Oakland que obtuvo su doctorado en Antropología (2011) en la Universidad de Nueva York. Su trabajo cinematográfico combina el lirismo con el activismo social, abogando por la justicia laboral y ambiental. Su galardonado largometraje documental, FRUITS OF LABOR, tuvo su estreno mundial en SXSW 2021 y se transmitió en PBS POV | American Documentary. Su cortometraje, SOL IN THE GARDEN, co-dirigido con Débora Souza Silva, tuvo su estreno mundial en el Festival Internacional de Cine de San Francisco (2023) con distribución de TIME Studios.
Ha recibido apoyo para sus películas del Instituto Sundance, la Fundación Nacional de Ciencias, Fulbright, Chicken & Egg Pictures, Field of Vision, Firelight Media, BVAC, California Humanities, Points North, Cinereach, 4th World Indigenous Media Lab y el Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. Fue galardonada con el SFFILM Rainin Screenwriting Grant (2023) por su primer guion, FROM HONEY TO ASHES. Actualmente está en producción de su segundo largometraje documental, ORQUIDEA, sobre la política y la economía de las orquídeas en Colombia.
